  6. I am needing a number line on my promethean board. I have a special ed student who cannot add without a number line. I saw your post regarding the number line. I have asked a few people here at school but have not figured it out.

  11. Hi, I am reading this way late but could you tell me your daily schedule with guided math and guided reading? Do you meet with all groups everyday? I teach 1st in a small school ( I only have 15 friends in my class!) but still struggle trying to meet the needs of all of my students each day!

  13. Hi, Kelly! I am the author of the Sound City Reading web site. I found your blog because I saw that you have a link that refers to it. I want to thank you for the fantastic write up about the decoding activity using short vowel sentences. The pictures and explanation are excellent. I want to let you know that I've switched over to a new web site format on Weebly and have closed the old web site. The new site is at www.soundcityreading.net. The same Reading Street files are still there, but your link for the decoding practice book will need to be updated for visitors to get to it. You can find it under the Reading Street tab on the menu. I taught first grade for many years, too. I'm retired now, but I loved looking at the pictures of your classroom, today, thinking about the "good old days." First graders are the best.
